sandbox

dave made this sandbox. we like recycling the junk that people abandoned in the yard and house before we moved in. there's a lot of it to re-use. i admit, a lot of it has been hauled to the dump by his industrious hard work. some of it, though, is proving useful.



like these old railroad ties. some we used to mark out future flower beds. the rest? they went to this sandbox. leveling these, and then adding 1/4 yd of sand has made the perfect spot for play. the cute little tree is healthier this year, it makes for nice shade almost all day long. we're taking advantage of it.
